At Roots Run Deep Winery we know that just as you can’t make a delicious meal out of poor quality ingredients, you can’t make a great bottle of wine from inferior vineyards. That’s why we are so committed to working with the best growers we can find throughout the valley. Our years of experience working with vineyard owners and managers has developed into strong partnerships, and it is these long–term relationships that allow us to get amazing, high quality fruit without tying up precious resources in vineyard holdings. The result is incredibly flavorful and well–structured wines that are indistinguishable in quality from our higher-priced Napa Valley competitors.
Our wine is crafted from grapes grown in the prestigious wine districts of Oak Knoll, Yountville, Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena and Carneros. Our sole source for Carneros Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit is the famed Sangiacomo family who have been farming the lands of Sonoma since 1927. Our primary sources for Cabernet Sauvignon are Beckstoffer Vineyards in Rutherford, Bettinelli, and Laird Family Vineyards. We also purchase from the best neighboring vineyards in the valley small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Merlot. We are committed to finding the best possible fruit sources at the best prices and continuously spend a tremendous amount of time finding and forging these critical relationships.
